Protect Women Ohio Launches Spanish-Language Ad Against Issue 1 Warns that It Would Impose “Brutal” Late-Term Abortions

Cleveland, Ohio – Protect Women Ohio launched a Spanish-language ad campaign today urging Hispanic voters in Ohio to vote against the proposed constitutional amendment in Issue 1. This new law would allow late-term abortions as a fundamental right in the state and undermine the rights of parents.

The advertisement explains how the proposal would impose abortion throughout all nine months of pregnancy in the state of Ohio, eliminating safety and health measures to protect women and allowing minors to have abortions without having to notify their parents or obtain their consent.

“Ohio voters cannot allow such an extreme abortion agenda to be imposed in the state. The vast majority of civilized countries do not allow the type of extreme abortion that is sought to be imposed in Issue 1,” declared Alfonso Aguilar, advisor to Protect Women Ohio and president of the Latino Partnership for Conservative Principles. “Hispanics in Ohio oppose abortion, and that is why it is important for them to go out and vote against the dangerous, late-term abortions proposed in Issue 1.”

The advertisement will be broadcast on various Hispanic radio stations in Ohio and will be widely distributed through digital platforms.

A legal analysis of the extreme anti-parent amendment is available HERE from constitutional scholars Carrie Campbell Severino, President of Judicial Crisis Network, and Frank J. Scaturro, a former special counsel to the House Select Investigative Panel on Infant Lives.
